SEE ALSO...

LPL Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects LPL protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LPL Antibody (F-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LPL (F-1) antibody targets a protein crucial in lipid metabolism, specifically in hydrolyzing triglycerides found in very low-density lipoproteins and chylomicrons, essential for proper dietary fat utilization. LPL (F-1) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein primarily synthesized in adipose tissue, heart, and skeletal muscle, where LPL anchors to cell membranes via glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI), enabling effective interaction with circulating lipoproteins. Anti-LPL antibody (F-1) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying lipid metabolism and associated disorders, as LPL defects can lead to serious conditions like chylomicronemia syndrome, characterized by elevated triglyceride levels.

I need to choose the best LPL antibody for immunohistochemistry. Which one do you recommend?

Asked by: cjMara
We currently offer several options for different LPL antibodies. We currently recommend using our LPL (F-1): sc-373759 monoclonal antibody for immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections because it has been tested and validated in this research application.
