LOXL3 Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects lysyl oxidase-like 3 (LOXL3) in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LOXL3 plays a crucial role in the extracellular matrix by facilitating elastogenesis, which is the formation of elastic fibers essential for maintaining tissue elasticity and resilience. LOXL3 is predominantly localized in the extracellular space, where LOXL3 is vital for the structural integrity of tissues, particularly in organs that require significant elasticity, such as the lungs and skin. Proper functioning of LOXL3 is important not only for normal tissue development but also for preventing pathological conditions associated with impaired elastic fiber formation, such as fibrosis and certain cardiovascular diseases. Additionally, LOXL3 interacts with other proteins, including Snail protein, to regulate E-cadherin expression, which is critical for maintaining epithelial integrity and preventing epithelial-mesenchymal transition, a process often exploited by cancer cells during metastasis. With widespread expression in tissues such as placenta, small intestine, testis, heart, ovary, and spleen, LOXL3 is a significant player in both developmental biology and disease processes, making anti-LOXL3 antibody (A-2) an invaluable tool for researchers studying these complex mechanisms.
