LOK Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LOK protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-LOK antibody (D-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LOK protein, also known as serine/threonine kinase 10 (STK10), is a 968 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by catalyzing the phosphorylation of target proteins, such as myelin basic protein and Histone H2A, through an ATP-dependent mechanism. This phosphorylation is vital for regulating numerous cellular functions, including cell division, apoptosis, and maintaining cellular homeostasis. LOK is predominantly expressed in lymphoid organs, where LOK is involved in the signaling pathways that govern lymphocyte development and function. LOK′s ability to modulate these pathways underscores LOK′s importance in immune responses and potential implications in various diseases, including cancer and autoimmune disorders.
