SEE ALSO...

LITAF Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects LITAF protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-LITAF antibody (C-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LITAF protein, known as lipopolysaccharide-induced tumor necrosis factor alpha factor, plays a pivotal role in regulating inflammatory responses, particularly during lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulation. LPS is a potent activator of monocytes and macrophages, leading to secretion of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) and other inflammatory mediators, which are crucial for immune response to bacterial infections. LITAF is primarily located in the nucleus, where LITAF is essential for transcriptional regulation of TNFα gene, thereby influencing production of this key cytokine. High expression levels of LITAF mRNA have been observed in tissues such as placenta, peripheral blood leukocytes, lymph nodes, and spleen, highlighting LITAF′s importance in immune function and inflammatory processes. LITAF′s interaction with Stat6B and LITAF-Stat6B complex further underscores LITAF′s role in modulating cytokine expression in response to inflammatory stimuli, making LITAF a significant target for research in immunology and inflammation.
