Anti-Lipin-1 Antibody (B-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 (kappa light chain) Lipin-1 antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
raised against amino acids 261-380 mapping within an internal region of Lipin-1 of human origin
Anti-Lipin-1 Antibody (B-12) is recommended for detection of Lipin-1 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
Anti-Lipin-1 Antibody (B-12) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems

Lipin-1 Antibody (B-12) is a high quality monoclonal Lipin-1 antibody (also designated Lipin-1 antibody) suitable for the detection of the Lipin-1 protein of mouse, rat and human origin. Lipin-1 Antibody (B-12) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-Lipin-1 antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-Lipin-1 antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Lipin family of nuclear proteins contains three members: Lipin-1, Lipin-2 and Lipin-3, all of which contain a nuclear signal sequence, a highly conserved amino-terminal (NLIP) domain, and a carboxy-terminal (CLIP) domain. Lipin-1 is crucial for normal adipose tissue development and metabolism. Lipin-1 selectively activates a subset of PGC-1alpha target pathways, including fatty acid oxidation and mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation by inducing expression of the nuclear receptor PPARalpha. Lipin-1 also inactivates the lipogenic program and suppresses circulating lipid levels. An abundance of Lipin-1 promotes fat accumulation and insulin sensitivity, whereas a deficiency in Lipin-1 may deter normal adipose tissue development, resulting in insulin resistance and lipodystrophy, a heterogeneous group of disorders characterized by loss of body fat, fatty liver, hypertriglyceridemia and insulin resistance.
