SEE ALSO...

Limd1 Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Limd1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Limd1 antibody (H-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Limd1, also known as LIM domain-containing protein 1, plays a crucial role as a tumor suppressor and is characterized by three LIM zinc-binding domains, which are essential for mediating protein-protein interactions. These LIM domains consist of a cysteine-rich consensus sequence that enables Limd1 to interact with various partners, including SQSTM1, Rb, p62, and TRAF6. Limd1 regulates cellular processes such as osteoclast development under stress and contributes to tumor growth inhibition, showing down-regulation in lung cancer and deletion in some cervical cancers. Understanding Limd1 interactions and functions provides insights into potential therapeutic targets in cancer treatment and other diseases.

I am using Limd1 (H-4): sc-271448 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: jenniferc
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
