Datasheets
  • LI-cadherin Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 806-832 at the C-terminus of LI-cadherin of human origin
  • recommended for detection of LI-cadherin of human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including equine
  • m-IgG2b BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for LI-cadherin Antibody (B-1) for WB and IHC(P) applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with LI-cadherin Antibody (B-1) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

LI-cadherin Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects LI-cadherin (LI-cad) in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LI-cadherin plays a crucial role in maintaining tissue architecture integrity, particularly in the liver and intestine, where LI-cadherin localizes to the basolateral domain of hepatocytes and enterocytes. This localization facilitates tight junction and adherens junction formation, essential for cell adhesion and communication, influencing tissue morphogenesis and function. The extracellular domain of LI-cadherin, characterized by five homologous repeats, enables binding specificity, while the intracellular domain interacts with cytoplasmic proteins such as catenin β, key regulators of cadherin-mediated adhesion. Anti-LI-cadherin antibody (B-1) helps researchers understand cell-cell interaction dynamics and cadherin roles in various physiological and pathological processes, making LI-cadherin (B-1) antibody valuable for developmental biology, cancer research, and tissue engineering studies.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393045 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
