LHX4 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LHX4 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LHX4 Antibody (E-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LHX4, a member of the LIM homeodomain transcription factor family, plays a crucial role in pituitary gland development and is essential for proper organismal differentiation. LHX4′s LIM domain, characterized by a zinc finger structure, facilitates protein-protein interactions vital for various cellular processes, including gene expression regulation during embryonic development. LHX4 is predominantly expressed in murine fetal brain, spinal cord, and cerebral cortex, and continues expression in adult central nervous system, particularly in motor neurons. Mutations in LHX4 can lead to significant developmental disorders, such as short stature and defects in pituitary and cerebellar regions, highlighting LHX4′s importance in normal growth and development. Human LHX4, located on chromosome 1q25, encodes a 390 amino acid protein and has been implicated in acute lymphoblastic leukemia through expression in leukemic cells, suggesting a potential role in leukemogenesis.

Does sc-374562 X work for ChIP in mice? Do you verify it?

Asked by: Jerry Dong
Thank you for your question. This antibody is recommended and warrantied for IP use, which includes ChIP. It has not yet been tested for ChIP in house at this time, but our warranty does cover this use.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-374562 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
