LHX1 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects LHX1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LHX1 (C-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LHX1 protein plays a crucial role in motor neuron development by regulating cell migration and guiding motor axons, which is essential for establishing correct axonal pathway trajectory. This regulation is vital for proper motor neuron subtype formation, as distinct combinations of LIM-type homeodomain factors, including LHX1, are expressed during genetically diverse motor neuron development. Human LHX1 gene, located on chromosome 11p13-p12, encodes a 384 amino acid protein and consists of five exons separated by introns of varying lengths. Notably, two LIM domains are found entirely within first and second exons, while homeodomain is divided between third and fourth exons. LHX1′s intricate structure, with LIM and homeodomains, is essential for neuronal development function, highlighting LHX1′s importance in the nervous system.
