SEE ALSO...

LECT2 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LECT2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LECT2 (B-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The leukocyte cell-derived chemotaxin 2 (LECT2) protein is a secreted molecule known for its role in neutrophil chemotaxis, which is crucial for the immune response and inflammation. LECT2 is predominantly expressed in the liver, where LECT2 exhibits diffuse immunostaining within the cytoplasm of hepatocytes, highlighting LECT2′s importance in liver function and pathology. Structurally, LECT2 consists of 133 amino acids and features three intramolecular disulfide bonds that contribute to LECT2′s stability and functional versatility. Notably, homologues of LECT2 have been identified across various vertebrate species, indicating LECT2′s evolutionary significance. The multifunctional role of LECT2 encompasses processes such as cell growth, differentiation, tissue damage repair, carcinogenesis, and the modulation of autoimmune diseases. Furthermore, LECT2 expression is specifically induced in the liver through β-catenin signaling pathways, and elevated serum levels of LECT2 have been associated with liver recovery, suggesting LECT2′s potential utility as a prognostic biomarker in liver-related conditions.
