LDH-C Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LDH-C protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LDH-C (F-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The lactate dehydrogenase family, which includes LDH-C, plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism by catalyzing the conversion of L-lactate and NAD to pyruvate and NADH, marking the final step of anaerobic glycolysis. Notably, LDH-C is uniquely expressed in testis and sperm, distinguishing LDH-C from LDH-A and LDH-B, which are predominantly found in muscle and heart tissues, respectively. This specific localization underscores LDH-C′s importance in male fertility and germ cell tumor diagnostics, making LDH-C a powerful biomarker in reproductive health studies. The genes encoding human LDH-A and LDH-C are located on chromosome 11, while human LDH-B gene is situated on chromosome 12, with deficiencies in LDH-A gene being associated with exertional myoglobinuria.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-377305 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
