Lck BP-1 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Lck BP-1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Lck BP-1 (B-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Lck BP-1 plays a crucial role in T cell signaling, as Lck BP-1 is a lymphocyte-specific signaling intermediate that interacts directly with the Src homology 3 (SH3) domain of Lck through two proline-rich regions. This interaction is vital for the regulation of T cell activation and function, as Lck is a key player in the initiation of T cell receptor signaling. Additionally, Lck BP-1 contains four tandem 37 amino acid repeats that form a putative helix-loop-helix DNA binding motif, suggesting a potential role in gene regulation following T cell activation. Notably, Lck BP-1 is tyrosine phosphorylated in T cells after T cell receptor activation, indicating involvement in downstream signaling pathways. Lck, from which Lck BP-1 is derived, has been associated with chromosomal abnormalities in lymphomas and neuroblastomas, highlighting the importance of studying Lck BP-1 in cancer research.
