SEE ALSO...

Layilin Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Layilin protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Layilin (C-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Layilin is a vital integral membrane hyaluronan receptor that plays a significant role in cell adhesion and motility, primarily by interacting with the ERM (ezrin, radixin, moesin) protein family, which serves as a crucial link between the cytoskeleton and cell membrane. This interaction is essential for maintaining the cortical structure of the cell, as Layilin mediates signals from the extracellular matrix to the cytoskeleton, facilitating various cellular processes. Notably, in spreading cells, Layilin acts as a membrane-binding site for talin in the peripheral ruffles, which is critical for the migration of cells to wound sites, thereby underscoring Layilin′s importance in tissue repair and regeneration. Anti-Layilin antibody (C-7) versatility in various applications makes this product an invaluable tool for researchers studying cell dynamics and the underlying mechanisms of cell adhesion and migration.
