LATS1 Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LATS1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-LATS1 antibody (G-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LATS1, a homolog of the Drosophila tumor suppressor protein lats, functions as a serine/threonine kinase that plays a crucial role in regulating cell growth and cell cycle. LATS1′s ability to inhibit Cdc2 activity during early mitosis is vital for maintaining proper cell division and preventing uncontrolled proliferation, which is a hallmark of cancer. Studies show that LATS1-deficient mice exhibit heightened sensitivity to carcinogenic treatments and develop various tumors, including soft-tissue sarcomas and ovarian stromal cell tumors, highlighting LATS1′s essential role in tumor suppression and consequences of dysregulation in mammalian systems.
