LARP1 Antibody (A-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LARP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-LARP1 antibody (A-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. La-related protein 1 (LARP1), also known as KIAA0731, is a 1,096 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in RNA metabolism, particularly in stabilizing and folding RNA molecules, which is vital for proper gene expression and cellular function. LARP1 contains two conserved regions, one sharing homology with La/SSB proteins, and features a helix-turn-helix (HTH) La-type RNA-binding domain that suggests involvement in RNA interactions. LARP1 undergoes phosphorylation by ATR or ATM in response to DNA damage, highlighting a role in cellular stress responses. LARP1 interacts with several signaling intermediates, including 14-3-3 β, 14-3-3 γ, and 14-3-3 θ, which are essential for various cellular processes. LARP1 shows widespread expression, with highest levels in heart tissue, and exists as three isoforms produced by alternative splicing, further underscoring functional diversity in different tissues.
