SEE ALSO...

LAPSER1 Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LAPSER1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LAPSER1 Antibody (D-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LAPSER1, also known as Leucine zipper putative tumor suppressor 2, is a member of the LZTS family and plays a crucial role in cytokinesis, which is the process of cell division. Disruption of LAPSER1 can lead to mislocalization of essential proteins like p80 katanin, resulting in malformation of the central spindle and potentially contributing to carcinogenesis. LAPSER1 is highly expressed in testis and prostate, with lower levels found in spleen, thymus, uterus, small intestine, and colon. LAPSER1 has been implicated as a tumor suppressor due to deletion in various cancers, including prostate tumors, and overexpression in cancer cell lines has been shown to inhibit growth and reduce colony-forming efficiency. LAPSER1′s interaction with proteins such as γ-tubulin and MKLP-1 further underscores LAPSER1′s importance in maintaining cellular integrity during division.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514618 P appropriate for?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
