LAMP-1 Antibody (LY1C6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LAMP-1 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). LAMP-1 (LY1C6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LAMP-1, also known as CD107a, is a glycosylated type I membrane protein primarily located on the lysosomal membrane, where LAMP-1 plays a crucial role in maintaining lysosomal integrity and function. Proper localization of LAMP-1 helps protect lysosomal membranes from autodigestion and contributes to the acidity of lysosomes, which is essential for the degradation of cellular waste and recycling of biomolecules.
