SEE ALSO...

Laminin γ-1 Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Laminin γ-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Laminin γ-1 (B-4) antibody is available in non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Laminin γ-1 plays a crucial role in forming and maintaining basement membranes, which are specialized extracellular matrices providing structural support to tissues and influencing cellular behaviors like proliferation, migration, and differentiation. These basement membranes contain laminins, heterotrimeric proteins made up of alpha, beta, and gamma chains that interact with cell surface receptors, including integrins and dystroglycan, to mediate essential cellular functions. Proper assembly and function of laminins are vital for tissue integrity and repair, helping establish tissue architecture and facilitate communication between cells and their extracellular environment. The human laminin gamma-1 gene is located on chromosome 1q31 and is expressed in various tissues, highlighting its importance in normal physiology and pathological conditions.
