SEE ALSO...

Lamellipodin Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Lamellipodin protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Lamellipodin (H-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Lamellipodin, also known as ras-associated and pleckstrin homology domains-containing protein 1 (RAPH1), is a 1302 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular dynamics by mediating localized membrane signals and facilitating lamellipodia and filopodia formation, essential for cell migration and tissue development. This peripheral membrane protein is particularly important in cancer biology, as RAPH1 is downregulated in breast and ovarian cancers, with significantly reduced expression in metastatic osteosarcomas compared to primary tumors. Additionally, Lamellipodin interacts with ENAH/VASP proteins, vital for actin filament dynamics, further underscoring RAPH1′s significance in cellular motility and signaling pathways. Lamellipodin expression is widespread, with highest levels found in brain, heart, ovary, and developing embryos, while RMO1 isoform is predominantly expressed in liver.

I am using Lamellipodin (H-5): sc-390050 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
