SEE ALSO...

L-type Ca++ CP α1C Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects L-type Ca++ CP α1C of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-L-type Ca++ CP α1C antibody (D-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. L-type Ca++ CP α1C plays a crucial role in mediating calcium entry into excitable cells, which is essential for processes such as muscle contraction, hormone secretion, and neurotransmitter release. L-type Ca++ CP α1C is primarily located in the plasma membrane of excitable cells, where L-type Ca++ CP α1C forms part of a complex that includes an α-1 subunit, an intracellular β-subunit, a disulfide-linked α-2/δ subunit, and a transmembrane γ-subunit. The localization of L-type calcium channels at the cell membrane allows for rapid and efficient calcium influx in response to membrane depolarization, thereby triggering various physiological responses. These channels can interact with G protein-coupled receptors, forming macromolecular signaling complexes that enhance the specificity of calcium signaling pathways. L-type Ca++ CP α1C′s ability to initiate critical cellular functions underscores its importance in both normal physiology and potential pathophysiological conditions.
