L-type Ca++ CP β3 Antibody (7D1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects L-type Ca++ CP β3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). L-type Ca++ CP β3 (7D1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. L-type Ca++ CP β3, also known as CACNB3, is a crucial component of voltage-dependent calcium channels, which play a vital role in neurotransmitter release and muscle contraction. L-type Ca++ CP β3 is composed of 484 amino acids and features one SH3 domain, with expression primarily in the ovary, brain, and smooth muscle tissues. The β subunit, which includes L-type Ca++ CP β3, is essential for modulating calcium currents and is involved in membrane trafficking of the α1 subunit, thereby influencing channel voltage dependencies of activation and inactivation. L-type Ca++ CP β3 interacts with specific proteins such as the α1 subunit and G proteins, which are critical for proper functioning of calcium channels and regulation of intracellular calcium levels. Two isoforms of L-type Ca++ CP β3 arise from alternative splicing, contributing to functional diversity of calcium signaling pathways.
