SEE ALSO...

L-FABP Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects L-FABP in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-L-FABP antibody (C-4) is available in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. L-FABP, or liver fatty acid-binding protein, is crucial for the intracellular transport of long-chain fatty acids and plays a significant role in lipid metabolism, particularly in the liver. L-FABP is predominantly located in the cytoplasm of liver cells, where L-FABP facilitates the uptake and transport of fatty acids, thereby influencing energy homeostasis and lipid storage. Proper functioning of L-FABP is essential for maintaining metabolic balance, as L-FABP helps regulate the availability of fatty acids for energy production and storage, which is particularly important in conditions such as obesity and diabetes. L-FABP expression is modulated by various factors, including hormonal changes and dietary intake, highlighting L-FABP′s role in adapting to metabolic demands.
