    SEE ALSO...

KRR1 Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects KRR1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). KRR1 (F-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. KRR1, also known as HRB2 (HIV-1 Rev binding protein 2) or RIP-1 (Rev interacting protein 1), plays a vital role in the biogenesis of the small subunit processome (SSU), which is essential for ribosome assembly and pre-rRNA processing. KRR1 is composed of 381 amino acids and is evolutionarily conserved across species, including humans, yeast, flies, nematodes, and rice. KRR1 is localized in the nucleolus and is highly expressed in dividing cells, where KRR1 is crucial for rRNA maturation. A conserved KH domain in KRR1 allows RNA binding, highlighting KRR1′s importance in the regulation of ribosome biogenesis. Notably, depletion of SSU proteins, including KRR1, leads to cell cycle arrest in the G1 phase, underscoring KRR1′s critical function in cellular proliferation and growth.
