KLF15 Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects KLF15 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-KLF15 antibody (A-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. KLF15, a member of the Krüppel-like factor family, is a crucial transcriptional regulator primarily expressed in the liver, heart, skeletal muscle, and kidney, where KLF15 plays a significant role in metabolic processes. Notably, KLF15 is essential for the regulation of glucose transporter type 4 (GLUT4), which is vital for glucose uptake in adipose and muscle tissues, thereby influencing insulin sensitivity and energy homeostasis. Nuclear localization of KLF15 is critical for function, as nuclear presence allows KLF15 to interact with specific DNA sequences in the promoters of target genes, facilitating transcriptional activation necessary for metabolic regulation. Understanding KLF15′s role in these tissues is important for elucidating potential implications in metabolic disorders, such as obesity and diabetes, making anti-KLF15 antibody (A-5) a valuable tool for researchers studying these conditions.
