KIF4 Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects KIF4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). KIF4 Antibody (E-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. KIF4, also known as kinesin family member 4A, is a vital motor protein that plays a significant role in the transport of cellular components, particularly during cell division. KIF4 is crucial for proper positioning of chromosomes and stabilization of the bipolar spindle during mitosis, which is essential for accurate cell division and prevention of aneuploidy. KIF4 is predominantly expressed in hematopoietic tissues, including spleen, thymus, bone marrow, and fetal liver, highlighting KIF4′s importance in cellular processes within these critical areas. Additionally, KIF4 interacts with other proteins such as PRC1, facilitating PRC1′s translocation to interlocking spindle microtubules during metaphase to anaphase transition of cytokinesis. Rated 5 out of 5 by from an excellent antibody for both WB and IFThis antibody recognizes a clear and strong signal at the predicted M.W. on the WB (1:500 dilution, 40 ug HeLa total extract). It also works well for IF in HeLa cells (1:200 dilution; methanol fixation preferred)
