SEE ALSO...

KIF2A Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects KIF2A of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). KIF2A Antibody (D-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Kinesin heavy chain member 2A (KIF2A), also known as KNS2, is a crucial microtubule-associated motor protein that plays a significant role in axonal transport and cell division. KIF2A is primarily located in developing axons, where KIF2A facilitates the transport of essential vesicles, macromolecules, and membranous organelles along microtubules, thereby supporting neuronal function and development. Proper functioning of KIF2A is vital for maintaining neuronal integrity and overall health of the nervous system. KIF2A is regulated by the synthetic retinoid N-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-all-trans-retinamide, which has been shown to induce apoptotic cell death in vitro and acts as a cancer chemopreventive agent in vivo. KIF2A′s ability to interact with various cellular components underscores KIF2A′s importance in cellular dynamics and highlights KIF2A′s potential as a therapeutic target in neurodegenerative diseases and cancer.
