KIF14 Antibody (E-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects KIF14 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). KIF14 (E-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Kinesin family member 14 (KIF14) plays a crucial role in cellular processes, particularly in regulating cell division and axonal transport, which are vital for maintaining cellular integrity and function. KIF14 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where KIF14 interacts with microtubules to facilitate transport of organelles and protein complexes, ensuring essential molecules, such as mRNA, are delivered to appropriate destinations within the cell. KIF14 is particularly important in neuronal cells, where KIF14 contributes to development and maintenance of neuronal networks. Notably, KIF14 has been identified as an overexpressed potential oncogene in the 1q region of genomic gain in breast cancer cell lines, associated with poor prognosis. The amplification of chromosome 1q, reflecting oncogene amplification, underscores KIF14′s significance as a potential therapeutic target and biomarker for oncogenesis, making KIF14 a critical focus for cancer research and treatment strategies.
