KCNC3 Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects KCNC3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). KCNC3 (D-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. KCNC3 protein, also known as Potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily C member 3, is a multi-pass membrane protein that functions as an ion channel, typically forming a heterotetramer with other potassium channel proteins. KCNC3 is crucial for maintaining ionic balance in cells, particularly in the corneal epithelium, where KCNC3 plays a significant role in regulating hydration and transparency of the corneal stroma. Proper functioning of KCNC3 is essential for the high-frequency firing of cerebellar neurons, which is vital for motor coordination and balance. Notably, mutations in the KCNC3 gene can lead to various neurological developmental disorders and adult-onset neurological diseases, highlighting the importance of KCNC3 in both cellular function and overall neurological health.
