SEE ALSO...

KCMF1 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects KCMF1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). KCMF1 (A-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. KCMF1, also known as potassium channel modulatory factor 1, plays a crucial role in cellular processes due to intrinsic E3 ubiquitin ligase activity, which is essential for ubiquitination of target proteins, thereby regulating their degradation and function. This post-translational modification is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and influencing various signaling pathways, particularly in epithelial morphogenesis, where KCMF1 is upregulated by basic fibroblast growth factor (FGF-2) in gastric cancer cells. KCMF1 consists of 381 amino acids and features one C2H2-type zinc finger and one ZZ-type zinc finger, which are critical for interaction with DNA and other proteins, facilitating a role in transcriptional regulation. KCMF1 is expressed in several tissues, including spleen, small intestine, ovary, peripheral blood, lung, kidney, and pancreas, while exhibiting lower expression levels in thymus, prostate, testis, colon, heart, brain, placenta, and liver, highlighting diverse functional implications across different biological systems.
