    SEE ALSO...

Junctophilin-1 Antibody (2E6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Junctophilin-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Junctophilin-1 antibody (2E6) is available as a non-conjugated format. Junctophilin-1 plays a crucial role in forming junctional complexes between the plasma membrane and the endoplasmic or sarcoplasmic reticulum, which are essential for proper functioning of excitable cells, particularly in skeletal muscle. Junctophilin-1 is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle, where Junctophilin-1 facilitates the organization of calcium signaling pathways, thereby influencing muscle contraction and overall muscle function. Junctophilin-1′s interaction with other proteins, such as the ryanodine receptor, is vital for calcium release during excitation-contraction coupling. This interaction underscores Junctophilin-1′s role in maintaining cellular calcium homeostasis, which is critical for muscle health and function. Mutations or dysregulation of Junctophilin-1 can lead to severe muscle disorders, highlighting Junctophilin-1′s significance in both normal physiology and disease states.
