JNK2 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody raised against amino acids 391-424 at the C-terminus of human JNK2, a crucial stress-activated protein kinase involved in cellular stress responses. JNK2 mouse monoclonal antibody (A-7) recognizes an epitope within this C-terminal region and demonstrates broad species cross-reactivity, detecting JNK2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) applications. Anti-JNK2 monoclonal antibody (A-7) is available in non-conjugated form and multiple conjugated forms including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates, offering versatility for diverse experimental needs. The complexity of JNK signaling emerges through sophisticated alternative splicing: three genes generate ten distinct isoforms, including five p46 variants (JNK1α1, JNK1β1, JNK2α1, JNK2β1, JNK3α1) and five p54 variants (JNK1α2, JNK1β2, JNK2α2, JNK2β2, JNK3β2). JNK2′s activation occurs under various stress conditions, leading to phosphorylation of transcription factors, particularly within the AP-1 complex containing c-Jun and c-Fos. JNK2 exhibits context-dependent functions in cancer biology: depending on the cellular environment, JNK2 can either promote or suppress tumor development in conditions including melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and basal cell carcinoma. Beyond cancer, JNK2 contributes to inflammatory conditions such as psoriasis and scleroderma. JNK2 participates in sophisticated protein interaction networks, forming regulatory complexes with upstream activators MKK4 and MKK7, and modulating apoptosis through interactions with p53 and Bcl-2 family members. Through these diverse cellular functions and complex regulatory mechanisms, JNK2 (A-7) antibody serves as a valuable tool for investigating stress responses, cancer biology, and inflammatory conditions.
