JMJD1A Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects JMJD1A of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-JMJD1A antibody (H-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. JMJD1A, also known as Jumonji domain containing 1A, TSGA (testis-specific protein A), JMJD1, KDM3A, and JHDM2A, is a crucial member of the JHDM2 histone demethylase family, predominantly expressed in the testis. JMJD1A contains a JMJC domain and a C-terminal C2HC4 zinc finger, which are essential for functioning as a mono- and dimethylation-specific demethylase. JMJD1A binds iron and α-ketoglutarate as cofactors to demethylate Lysine 9 of Histone H3, playing a pivotal role in the histone code and influencing nuclear hormone receptor-mediated transcriptional regulation. JMJD1A regulates cell growth during development and chromatin dynamics, directly controlling TNP1 and Protamine 1 expression, which are vital for proper packaging and condensation of sperm chromatin. This function highlights JMJD1A′s essential role in spermatogenesis, making JMJD1A a significant target for studies related to fertility and reproductive health.
