    SEE ALSO...

JAKMIP2 Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects JAKMIP2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). JAKMIP2 (G-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. JAKMIP2, also known as janus kinase and microtubule-interacting protein 2, NECC1, CTCL tumor antigen HD-CL-04, JAMIP2, or KIAA0555, consists of 810 amino acids and is a member of the JAKMIP family. JAKMIP2 is primarily localized to the Golgi apparatus, which is crucial for protein sorting and trafficking within the cell. The Golgi apparatus is essential for post-translational modification of proteins, and JAKMIP2′s localization suggests a significant role in processing and transport of proteins involved in cellular signaling pathways. JAKMIP2 is highly expressed in the brain, with moderate expression levels found in the thymus, spleen, and lung, indicating potential involvement in neuroendocrine functions and immune responses. The gene encoding JAKMIP2 is located on human chromosome 5q32 and mouse chromosome 18 B3, with the human chromosome containing 181 million base pairs, accounting for nearly 6% of the human genome. Notably, deletions in chromosome 5 are associated with various syndromes and malignancies, highlighting JAKMIP2′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states.
