ITF-2 Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ITF-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ITF-2 (C-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Immunoglobulin transcription factor 2 (ITF-2), also known as transcription factor and SL3-3 enhancer factor 2 (SEF-2), is a basic helix-turn-helix transcription factor that plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression, particularly in muscle development. ITF-2 is primarily located in the nucleus, where ITF-2 binds to specific DNA sequences, such as the immunoglobulin enhancer Mu-E5/KE5-motif and the Ephrussi-box (E-box) element found in SSTR2-INR, thereby acting as a transcriptional activator for muscle-specific genes. ITF-2′s ability to form homo- or hetero-oligomers with other myogenic factors like myogenin and MyoD is essential for function, as these interactions can modulate the transcriptional activity of target genes, influencing muscle differentiation and development. ITF-2 expression in tissues such as the adult heart, brain, placenta, and skeletal muscle highlights importance in various biological processes, making anti-ITF-2 antibody (C-8) a valuable tool for researchers studying muscle biology and transcriptional regulation.

Would it be possible to have peptide sequence of the the epitope used to generate the antibody? ITF2 has many protein isoforms of different length, thus it is not clear which one was used for generating the antibody.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best TCF4 antibodiesVery good antibody! Identifies endogenous levels of different TCF4 isoforms by WB and works well in IP. Does not work in ChIP. We have validated the antibody using shRNA-mediated TCF4 knockdown in primary neurons and with brain lysates from TCF4 knock-out animal. One of the best TCF4 antibodies we have tested!
