IRX3 Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects IRX3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IRX3 (G-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IRX3 is a member of the Iroquois homeobox gene family, which plays a crucial role in regulating embryonic development, particularly in the patterning of the anterior/posterior and dorsal/ventral axes within the central nervous system. IRX3 expression is particularly significant in the ventricular trabeculated myocardium during heart development, where IRX3 contributes to the proper formation and function of cardiac structures. The Iroquois gene family is organized into two clusters, IRXA and IRXB, located on chromosomes 8 and 13 in mice, with IRX3 being part of the IRXB group alongside IRX5 and IRX6. These genes show distinct expression patterns during development, highlighting their importance in organogenesis and tissue differentiation. While absence of IRX4 does not prevent normal heart development, IRX4 deficiency leads to cardiomyopathy in adult mice, underscoring the critical role of Iroquois proteins in cardiac health.
