IRF-5 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects IRF-5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IRF-5 (C-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Interferon regulatory factor 5 (IRF-5) is a crucial member of the IRF family of DNA-binding proteins, which also includes IRF-1, IRF-2, IRF-3, IRF-4, IRF-6, IRF-7, ISGF-3γ p48, and interferon consensus sequence-binding protein (ICSBP). This family plays a vital role in regulating interferon and interferon-inducible genes, with IRF-5 specifically acting as a direct transducer of virus-mediated signaling. IRF-5 is primarily located in the nucleus, where IRF-5 binds to DNA and regulates transcription of various cytokines and chemokines, making IRF-5 essential for immune response to viral infections.
