IRAP Antibody (F-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects IRAP in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IRAP (F-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IRAP, also known as Insulin-responsive aminopeptidase, LNPEP, OTase, or P-LAP, is a 1,025 amino acid enzyme predominantly expressed in the placenta, heart, kidney, and small intestine, with lower expression levels found in neuronal cells of the brain, skeletal muscle, spleen, liver, testis, and colon. IRAP belongs to the peptidase M1 family and plays a crucial role in degrading bioactive peptides, including hormones such as oxytocin, vasopressin, and angiotensin III, which are vital for maintaining homeostasis during pregnancy and regulating various physiological processes. IRAP influences glucose uptake in cells through trafficking of the insulin-responsive glucose transporter Glut4, making IRAP essential for metabolic regulation. IRAP also interacts with Tankyrase-1 and Tankyrase-2, significant signaling targets of extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) in the Golgi apparatus, highlighting IRAP′s role in cellular signaling pathways. Three isoforms exist due to alternative splicing, underscoring IRAP′s complexity and functional diversity in various biological contexts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flow cytometryVery happy with the antibody. Ordered in AlexaFluor 647. Great staining index. We generated knockout cells and it stained beautifully. We had a nice clear separation between the knockout and non-knockout cells.
