IRAK-4 Antibody (5-RY38) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects IRAK-4 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IRAK-4 is a crucial mediator in the signaling pathways of Toll-like receptors and interleukin-1 receptors, playing a vital role in the innate immune response. IRAK-4 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where IRAK-4 acts as a key component in the activation of downstream signaling cascades, including the NFkB and MAP kinase pathways. Proper functioning of IRAK-4 is essential for the immune system′s ability to respond to pathogens; IRAK-4 deficiency can lead to severe immunological consequences, such as recurrent bacterial infections and a diminished response to lipopolysaccharides and interleukin-1.
