IQGAP3 Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IQGAP3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IQGAP3 (D-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IQGAP3 protein consists of 1,631 amino acids and plays a crucial role as an effector of small GTPases Cdc42 and Rac1, linking their activation to the cytoskeleton during neuronal morphogenesis, a process essential for proper development and functioning of the nervous system. IQGAP3 is predominantly expressed in the brain, where IQGAP3 localizes to axons of hippocampal neurons, highlighting its importance in neuronal structure and signaling. IQGAP3 features a Ras-GAP domain, a calponin-homology domain, and four IQ domains, which are critical for interactions and functions. IQGAP3 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 1, a region that spans 260 million base pairs and contains over 3,000 genes, many of which are associated with various diseases, including familial adenomatous polyposis and schizophrenia. Aberrations in chromosome 1 have been implicated in several cancers, including head and neck cancer and malignant melanoma, underscoring the significance of IQGAP3 in both normal physiology and disease states.
