SEE ALSO...

Integrin α3 Antibody (Ralph 3.2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Integrin α3 of rat origin by immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Integrin α3 (Ralph 3.2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Integrins, which are heterodimers formed from noncovalently associated transmembrane α and β subunits, play a crucial role in cell adhesion and signaling. The Integrin α3 chain, also referred to as very late activation antigen 3 (VLA-3), undergoes post-translational modifications, including cleavage in the extracellular domain, resulting in disulfide-linked light and heavy chains that associate with β1 to form a functional integrin complex. This modification enhances Integrin α3′s ability to interact with various extracellular matrix proteins, facilitating essential biological processes such as cell migration, differentiation, and survival. Integrin α3′s capacity to bind ligands like fibronectin and collagen underscores its importance in maintaining tissue integrity and mediating cellular responses to the extracellular environment. Using anti-Integrin α3 antibody (Ralph 3.2) in research can provide valuable insights into the dynamic roles of integrins in cellular functions and their implications in various physiological and pathological conditions.

Can Integrin α3 (Ralph 3.2): sc-7019 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, Integrin α3 (Ralph 3.2): sc-7019 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
