SEE ALSO...

Influenza A NP Antibody (9G8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the nucleoprotein (NP) of Influenza A virus by western blotting (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Influenza A NP antibody (9G8) is available in a non-conjugated form, specifically designed for researchers studying the Influenza A virus, which is a negative-sense, single-stranded, segmented RNA virus primarily hosted by birds but capable of infecting various mammalian species. The nucleoprotein (NP) plays a crucial role in the viral life cycle, as NP is essential for the encapsidation of the viral RNA genome, forming ribonucleoprotein complexes that are vital for replication and transcription. NP is located in the nucleus and cytoplasm of infected cells, where NP interacts with the viral RNA and other proteins to facilitate the assembly of new virions. Understanding the localization and function of NP is important for developing antiviral strategies, as NP is a key target for therapeutic intervention. Influenza A viruses are classified into subtypes based on their hemagglutinin and neuraminidase proteins, and NP′s interaction with these components is critical for the virus′s ability to infect host cells and evade the immune response.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't work for WBThe antibodies didn't detect NP from Influenza H5N1 in WB, tried several dilutions and nothing. I used then polyclonal antibodies and they worked at the first try.
