IL-31R Antibody (A-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects IL-31R protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IL-31R (A-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IL-31R plays a crucial role in mediating the effects of IL-31, a cytokine primarily produced by T helper type 2 cells, which is involved in inflammatory responses and has been linked to conditions such as atopic dermatitis. IL-31R forms a heterodimeric complex with oncostatin M receptor, which activates several signaling pathways, including JAK1, JAK2, Stat1, Stat3, Stat5, and the PI3 kinase/AKT cascade. This intricate signaling network is essential for the regulation of immune responses and the development of pruritus, as evidenced by increased IL-31R expression on epidermal keratinocytes in patients with atopic dermatitis compared to healthy individuals. IL-31R interaction with IL-31 not only contributes to the itch sensation but also promotes scratching behavior, making IL-31R a potential target for therapeutic interventions aimed at alleviating pruritus in inflammatory skin diseases.
