IL-17F Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IL-17F of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IL-17F (G-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IL-17F protein plays a crucial role in the immune response, primarily produced by activated CD4(+) T cells and activated monocytes, and stimulates the production of other proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and IL-8, as well as granulocyte colony-stimulating factor. IL-17F is secreted as a disulfide-linked homodimeric glycoprotein, which is essential for biological activity. IL-17F regulates cartilage matrix turnover, making IL-17F a significant factor in inflammatory conditions and autoimmune diseases. IL-17F interacts with IL-17 receptors, which are critical for mediating effects on various cell types, thereby influencing the overall inflammatory response. IL-17F′s unique properties highlight potential as a therapeutic target in diseases characterized by excessive inflammation.
