IL-17E Antibody (68C1039) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects IL-17E in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB). Anti-IL-17E antibody (68C1039) is offered in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile applications in research. IL-17E, a member of the interleukin-17 family, plays a crucial role in the immune response by acting as a proinflammatory cytokine. IL-17E is primarily secreted by activated T cells and forms a disulfide-linked homodimeric glycoprotein structure, essential for biological activity. IL-17E binds to IL-17 receptor homolog 1 (EV127/IL-17BR), leading to activation of downstream signaling pathways such as NF-kB, which stimulates production of proinflammatory chemokines like IL-8. IL-17E has been implicated in catabolic processes affecting human articular cartilage, highlighting potential roles in inflammatory diseases. IL-17E mRNA expression remains low in various peripheral tissues, suggesting a tightly regulated role in immune responses. IL-17E functions as a unique pleiotropic cytokine that may serve as a significant mediator in both inflammatory and immune pathways, making IL-17E monoclonal antibody (68C1039) a valuable tool for studying these critical biological processes.
