SEE ALSO...

IKKγ Antibody (F-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody designed to detect full-length IKKγ protein, also known as NEMO (NF-κB Essential Modulator), across mouse, rat, and human species using western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF) techniques. IKKγ is a critical regulatory subunit of the IKK complex, which plays an essential role in the activation of the NF-κB signaling pathway, a key mediator of immune responses, inflammation, and cell survival. The structure of IKKγ includes multiple zinc finger motifs and a ubiquitin-binding domain, enabling interactions with other proteins such as IKKα, IKKβ, and the NF-κB inducing kinase (NIK). These interactions are vital for the phosphorylation and subsequent degradation of IκB inhibitors, allowing NF-κB to translocate to the nucleus and activate target genes. Post-translational modifications, particularly ubiquitination, regulate IKKγ′s activity and interactions with kinases and ubiquitin ligases, thereby modulating the intensity and duration of the NF-κB response. By facilitating these protein-protein interactions, IKKγ ensures precise control over cellular responses to proinflammatory cytokines and stress signals. Anti-IKKγ antibody (1.T.26) enables researchers to study these dynamic interactions and modifications, providing insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying diseases such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and chronic inflammation. With high specificity and robust performance, IKKγ monoclonal antibody (1.T.26) is an indispensable tool for advancing research in molecular biology and immunology, supporting the elucidation of complex regulatory networks that govern cellular responses.

I used to buy rabbit polyclonal NEMO antibody from your company for my IP and WB experiments. I just noted that you have stopped producing them. Do you still have some of these antibodies? or is the mouse monoclonal Ab any good for IP and WB? thank you

Asked by: Chung Lim
Thank you for your question. We no longer provide polyclonal antibodies. You can find all of our recommended monoclonal alternatives by following this link: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/ikk-gamma-Antibodies/_/N-1w3ngw0. Our IKKγ Antibody (F-10): sc-166398 and IKKγ Antibody (B-3): sc-8032 are both recommended for IP and WB.

What blocking solution should I use with IKKγ (F-12): sc-166397 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
