IGF2BP2 Antibody (F-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IGF2BP2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IGF2BP2 monoclonal antibody (F-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IGF2BP2, also known as insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA binding protein 2, IMP-2, or VICKZ family member 2, is a 556 amino acid RNA-binding protein that plays a crucial role in regulating mRNA translation and spatial localization of target mRNAs within the cell. This localization ensures proteins are synthesized at the right time and place, which is essential for proper cellular function and response to environmental signals. IGF2BP2 expression is observed in various tissues, including heart, placenta, skeletal muscle, pancreas, fetal liver, lung, kidney, thymus, and gonadal cells, highlighting its importance in diverse biological processes. Notably, anti-IGF2BP2 antibodies have been identified in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma, suggesting a potential role in the disease′s pathogenesis, while defects in IGF2BP2 have been linked to an increased susceptibility to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
