IGF2BP1/2/3 Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IGF2BP1/2/3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IGF2BP1/2/3 (A-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding proteins (IGF2BPs) play a crucial role in regulating RNA metabolism and synthesis, which is vital for cellular growth and differentiation. IGF2BP1, also known as coding region determinant-binding protein or CRD-BP, is predominantly found in embryonic tissues and is significantly expressed in various cancers, including 81% of colon cancers and 73% of sarcomas. IGF2BP1′s unique structure, which includes a combination of RNA recognition motifs and four heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein K homology domains, allows binding to specific mRNAs such as c-Myc and IGF-II, thereby influencing their stability and translation. This interaction is particularly important in cancer development, as IGF2BP1 promotes cell proliferation through an IGF-II-dependent mechanism, highlighting potential as a therapeutic target in cancer treatment.
