    SEE ALSO...

iGb3 Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa antibody that detects iGb3 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-iGb3 antibody (H-7) is available in a non-conjugated form, specifically designed for iGb3 applications. iGb3, also known as isogloboside 3 or isoglobotrihexosylceramide, is a 370 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in natural killer T cell development by synthesizing the galactose-alpha(1,3)-galactose group on alpha-galactose. iGb3 is localized in the Golgi apparatus, where iGb3 is involved in glycosylating lipids and requires manganese as a cofactor for enzymatic activity. Proper functioning of iGb3 is essential for immune responses, as iGb3 influences the activation and differentiation of T cells, which are vital for the body′s defense against pathogens. The gene encoding iGb3 is located on human chromosome 1, a region that spans 260 million base pairs and contains over 3,000 genes, many of which are associated with various diseases, including familial adenomatous polyposis and Parkinson′s disease. Using iGb3 monoclonal antibody (H-7) in research can provide valuable insights into iGb3′s role in immune system regulation and disease implications.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514782 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
