IFN-γ Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Interferon (IFN)-γ in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IFN-γ plays a crucial role in the immune response, acting as an antiviral and antiparasitic agent produced by activated CD4+/CD8+ lymphocytes and natural killer cells. IFN-γ modulates T cell growth and differentiation while inhibiting B cell proliferation, thereby shaping the adaptive immune response. IFN-γ′s active form is a homodimer, with each subunit comprising six helices, and this dimeric structure is stabilized by non-covalent interactions at the interface of the helices.
