IFIT2 Antibody (F-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IFIT2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IFIT2 (F-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IFIT2 protein, also known as interferon-induced protein with tetratricopeptide repeats 2, is a 472 amino acid protein characterized by six tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) motifs, which are crucial for mediating protein-protein interactions. TPR motifs, consisting of a degenerate 34 amino acid sequence, facilitate assembly of protein complexes that play significant roles in various cellular pathways, including regulation of immune responses and cell growth. IFIT2 interaction with other proteins is vital for negative regulation of cell proliferation, making IFIT2 an important player in maintaining cellular homeostasis. IFIT2 gene is located on human chromosome 10, a region associated with several genetic disorders, highlighting potential implications in both health and disease.
